5010 programming is virtually complete. We are actively certifying with any entities that are open to certification:
Currently in Production on claims submission:
- Highmark (PA, NJ, MD Medicare Part B Flu Shots)
- WPS ( IA, IL, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, WI Medicare Part B Flu Shots)
- NGS (CT, IN, KY, NY Medicare Part B Flu Shots)
- Medicaid ( CT, FL, GA, KS, NY)
- Numerous Commercial Plans
Certified but not currently submitting claims in 5010 format:
- CEDI (Medicare DME)
- Noridian (AK, AZ, MT, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY Medicare Part B Flu Shots)
- Trailblazer (CO, NM, OK, TX Medicare Part B Flu Shots)
- Palmetto (CA, HI, NC, NV, OH, VA Medicare Part B Flu Shots)
- Medicaids (IA, KY, ME, SC)
Currently in testing:
- Medicare 270/271 Eligibility
- NHIC
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas
- Cahaba Medicare
- Numerous Medicaid and Commercial plans which have currently opened up for Testing certification.
Medicaid plans are slowly starting to allow testing. We are working to certify as soon as they become available. Many are showing testing will not be available until 4th quarter.
5010 835 Remittance
EZ-DME is currently capable of receiving and processing 835s in the 5010 format, and we are encouraging payers who are capable of supplying them in the 5010 format to provide their contact information so we can schedule the transition.

Diagnosis codes are transitioning from the ICD-9 codes to ICD-10 codes
We are in preliminary stages for transitioning to the ICD-10 standard; the majority of this will occur after the transitions to D.0, X12 and e-prescribing are complete. Currently the compliance date for these changes is Oct. 1, 2013.
